Why should I have a Lung Health Check?

People who smoke, or have smoked, in the past are at higher risk of developing problems with their lungs, including lung cancer.

Lung cancer, at its early stages, generally does not cause symptoms. Because of this, often people won’t know there is an issue. When lung conditions, including lung cancer, is identified earlier it is much easier to treat.

A Lung Health Check with a low dose CT Scan can identify problems in the lung including lung cancer much earlier, even before symptoms develop. We will then organise a referral to a suitable doctor to help treat anything found.

Checking for a disease or condition before symptoms develop is called screening.
